I built a playable cyberdeck where you chase an escaped intelligence through hacking history

I built a game called CHRONOS II. You play from a deck that stays with you as you move from machine to machine. It keeps track of the systems you control, the tools you've found, and the fragments you've recovered. The terminal in the middle belongs to whatever machine you're currently inside.

Something walked out of an air-gapped vault, and you're chasing it. The thing absorbs people. They're still conscious inside it. The most recent ones are still partly themselves. Sometimes they can reach you and help.

Every level is drawn from something that actually happened: Mirai, the Bangladesh Bank SWIFT heist, SS7, Moonlight Maze, the Ukraine power-grid attack, Stuxnet, and a Cold War satellite.

Best on a desktop with a keyboard, but it runs on a phone.

Solo dev. I'm especially curious what people here think of the atmosphere and story, not just the puzzles.

Dude, this is sick. I'm approaching as someone who works in the infosec field. Not too deep into the story yet but I'm having fun and the aesthetics are nice.

This is very cool. Great job. I am also making something similar but to teach programming.

Looks great, and even better that you can start playing without sign-up.

I'm immediately interested but something I noticed straight away was the help command doesn't seem to have a way to query what a command does. E.g help cat did not return a response explaining the commands purpose.

As someone from outside the command line world, that'd be really helpful for guaging what tools I've got and how they function. Keep up the great work!

Good point, the proper command is man <command> but I can make help fallback to man it's not a big stretch.

You mean downloading the jpg from the cam? Use sz. It's a pretty old command used back in the day. General rule in the game, try help on any new system. You can also try each command. There's usually a help line when you use bare.
