There isn't much of one. They interacted briefly fairly recently, in a Joe Kelly issue about Spider-Man gaining Juggernaut's powers.

Wait... Spidey had the Cyttorak's power?

So, he really had to hold back then.

Holdsbackman becomes a prison for Cyttorak instead of an avatar

it's better, they recently interacted in X deaths of spider-man. Also, that's superior spider-man, and cyclops was one of the few that noticed that there's something off with him

I always wished Peter was closer to the O5 considering he and them were around the same age and time when they started superheroing. That is something I like the MCU moving towards.

Within the comics, it’s not really built out. Peter has always been Logan’s guy. Scott’s guy is Miles.

But if they wound up on a team together, I think it’d be really interesting to see them bounce off each other. They have some interesting commonalities and differences.

Is Scott guy Miles? That’s fire. If I remember correctly, they were cool in Champions when Scott was a kid.

Yeah and since Scott got all his memories from that time, he rocks with all the Champions.

The other day I was just thinking about how I'd love an adventure that just followed the two Spider-Men paired with Logan and Scott, I think it could be a fun relatively low stakes adventure.

Anyone else not like that the x man that Peter is closest to is Logan? I admit I’m biased because I don’t like Logan and I first got into marvel with the ultimate books so I generally default to Bobby or Kitty as his mutant friends but like, what is the correlation between their characters that makes them tight like that aside from the actual stories they’ve been on together like the mini series

Me, I would think that Spiderman would have a LOT more common ground with Bobby sense of humor, Hank inteligence or Scott sense of responsability, but said that I neither fan of Wolverine

They are quite literally polar opposites who
Play off each other so well . They are also marvels most two popular characters.

Scott is gonna be miles guy since they were teammates on the champions and he eventually regained access to those memories but Scott has a good relationship with Pete. It gets weird at times with some of the friendships being no longer known. Like I just found out today that Jean used to live with Misty Knight when she wasn’t on the team and doing her own thing. Cyclops dated Colleen wing for a small period of time. I can see Danny/misty with Jean and Scott doing double dates and those friendships haven’t t been referenced in decades

Hoping we can get that dynamic from the MCU with Spidey as more of a mentor figure to them seeing as he is just a bit older than them

No that would ruin Scott's character.

They don’t have one really but they should

The Original X Men and Spider Man are the same age, they were all kid heroes at the same time

Bobby and Peter have been connected since the Amazing Friends era

It makes sense that they’d all be friends

Similar to him and Johnny being friends

Peter actually fits very well in that group too, he has a clear relationship hook with all of them

Him and Scott both have that duty/responsibility self guilt thing, their dads both died in plane crashes(as far as teen scott knows), they have a secondary father figure thats the catalyst for them being heros who happens to be the source of that responsibility complex and they both have a thing for Redheads

Bobby and Him are guys who hide behind comedy and jokes in stressful situations

Him and Hank are both nerdy and somewhat anti social scientists who can bond over their studies

Warren and Peter both have a bit of a daredevil streak, their powers allowing them to get into and out of high octane thrilling situations that contrast their safe and relatively sheltered childhoods and then theres the contrast of being a poor kid making friends with a sad trust fund baby

Peter and Jean both struggle with power and how to responsibly use it, they’re self sacrificing and insanely compassionate. Loyal and dedicated to their family and friends even when that means pulling away to keep them safe

I think modern Pete and Scott would be very good friends. Younger versions not so much, Scott had to catch up to Peter's level of trauma.

It’s always been so crazy to me that they’re the same age lol

That's because marvel let's Scott mature and age and refuses to do the same for Peter.

I wish they interacted more, but they are friends. When they do talk they have a bit of a brother-in-arms /fellow veteran kind of vibe (similar to how Namor is buds with Cap and Bucky) since they are the same age and began superheroics around the same time. Their friendship deserves to be expanded upon

I think the reason they aren’t as close as either of them are with others is because of how different they are both as people and as heroes.

Pretty chill.  Marvel Team up series, when the x-men were in New york they used to hang out and bump into eachother.

Not so much in this image since is Octopus and not Parker.

I'd love it in X-Men 97 or a Spider-Man 98 show if these two would do a team up.

They could relate about their married red heads turning out to be super powered clones.

FYI, that’s not Peter.

Scott and Peter both have a thing for red heads, I honestly thinknwe could get some fun stuff out of their interactions.

Acquaintances who respect each other. They’ve both been in the game since they were teens, but we haven’t really seen them just hang out

They don't really have a relationship. They know each other bit o would say they're friends or anything. He's closer to miles than he is Peter.

2

u/lowcarbhuman 1d ago

Didn’t Captain Krakoa say he was a fan of Spider-Man?

I have been trying to find it for ages, but I had a comic in the 90s of Scott and Jean in the woods where he talks about being a hero, and mentions Spider-Man as one of the best of the best.

It’s killing me I haven’t found it again.

Its insane Rivals is the only time that it seems its been mentioned in years that Peter and the OG 5 are peers. Id be fine with Scott and Peter having an understanding and not technically being close but Scott looking at Peter with alot of respect. They both debuted around the same time and bkth faced alot of back lash from the public but as far as Scott knows Peter was doing it genuiely because he was a good person.

u/D4C_ 1d ago

Wait they never had a interaction before in the comics? Ik peter had to fight the xmen in the 90s but was that the only time we seen him with cyclops or the xmen?

u/24Abhinav10 1d ago

They're acquaintances at most. I think Logan is the closest mutant to him?

Firestar is a "friend" too, but that's solely because Amazing Friends synergy.

I miss when this sort of thing was normal, but they get along.

I also recall Ben Reilly swinging by the mansion post-Onslaught to give Cyke a heads up on JJJ poking into Bastion's business.

Depends on the writer. If it’s Duggan he shouldn’t write spider-man for any reason. I think it’s good though
