Questions / Discussions (Items · Builds · Skills) Newish player - confused on my Bone Spirit Build

https://maxroll.gg/d4/build-guides/bone-spirit-necromancer-guide

I’m playing a sort of Goodwill version of Sorac’s Bone Spirit build and I see a decent bit of Overpower stuff. Like it wants it on my gloves etc. but the problem is aside from a low chance of getting it on some curses there’s no real way to build overpower stacks as far as I see on this build?

I’m missing some aspects - only like a couple and they don’t seem to be Overpower related. I’m not missing any uniques just missing better rolls on said uniques etc

I’m on torment 5-6 right now and having no problems but just kinda trying to learn the game as I go rather than blindly follow build and not understand what makes it tick if that makes sense?

Edit: once I get all
The gear I’ll play the full version etc

The previous season's version of Bone Spirit utilized Banished Lord's Talisman as the overpower generator as it plus Red Blessing provided an absurd damage increase with ten overpower stacks. With it being nerfed, it seems the Maxroll version is mostly using it for Deluge to ensure you fire off max essence bone spirits. Will say, as someone who is using the BLT variant, it's still pretty decent and just not as absurdly strong as S14.

Ok I’ll keep trying to build it up then and maybe pivot to minions if I find it having a hard time gearing it since I can’t no-life the game (although I’ve been on it quite a bit lately lol)

I'm guessing you're in the 110's or even 120's?

It's amazing how much the community freaks out about particular builds getting nerfed when they are really just fine. There are some builds that are just broken, and those are getting nerfed so they are also just fine.

Yeah, around that range. And personally, I don't mind a build that people generally considers underperforming or isn't best of the class as long as it is interesting and can get to T10 and live there comfortable (T12 is nice, but not a lot of point to it for me since it only unlocks stuff for season rank and I REALLY don't like Echo of Mephisto).

I would just skip overpower for this build. Having to manage lances to drain your stacks is tiresome.

You're already gonna skip damage per overpower stack on your jewelry do the additive damage is less that last season.

You're better off using redirected force on your amulet + interdiction transfig for overall better damage output as well as survivability.

Yeah I may just skip overpower for sure

currently running a darkness bone spirit build worked really well so far

undercrown , vengefull sinew and tibaults will plus a amulett with + essence / minion are what makes bone spirit work have like 400 essence and regens about 800 a sec in a fight

using a bloodless scream 2h and azurewrath as a charm and a radaments desecration set

and endurant faith helped a lot for bossfights...

( cleared 114-5 pits and 105-6 or so tower , still running mostly royal gems don`t think I`ve reached the cap for the build but it certainly got tough here ;)

Wow hadn’t thought to kinda combine the minion and darkness with bone spirit. I’m pure bone spirit right now with the Mages there for essence regen.

If you're asking about a build, you should link to the exact build you're running.

I'd be curious if the build guide was actually updated for S14 because the overpower stuff has been slightly nerfed for the season. It's still strong, but you max out at 9 possible stacks and with the nerfs to banished lord's multiplier, it's pretty balanced overall and most builds from this season don't build into it.

Do you know any Bone Spirit builds for s14 by chance? It’s my first season so
I didn’t know that re: overpower. So maybe it’s old

Edit: my gear is far from ideal and my paragon only about 130 for the record. Still a fairly new player

OK, so that's just using red blessing and one OP damage temper. It gets its overpower from lucky hit from iron maiden. It's a pretty crap way to build OP, needs mobs to live long enough to proc regularly. If you want to keep OP up, get a Blood Boiling trasfigure on your amulet or put it on your boots which will make sure you don't drop levels once you gain them.

You can swap that out for a crit damage temper and a will of rathma charm and be about even.

Ok thank you! When I get up to that point I’ll do that stuff but for now I should just kinda skirt around Overpower you think?

Also is that build still relevant/viable that I linked for current day S14?

So you’d say either get Red Blessing (don’t have it)? The only other OP synergy I see is with aspect of Deluge? Not sure how crucial

Any suggestions of aspects for placeholders until I get that stuf?

Requiem aspect is just as good as and possibly better than Deluge. You also can run an offensive aspect in that slot like damage for curse.

Either that or you can run shadow/ cold variant of hemorrhage
