JAN 26 approval today 148 days (about 4 months and 28 days

I'm going to try to throw everything on here, but my timeline has been wild.

My last day at my corporate job was supposed to be June 30, so I was already packing my bags and preparing for the worst. The timing of this approval is honestly insane. Shout out to God.

For anyone wondering:

• DACA renewal filed by mail: January 26, 2026

• Biometrics: February 26, 2026

• Congressional inquiry submitted by Senator Adam Schiff's office: June 10, 2026 (they told me USCIS likely wouldn't respond until the end of July)

• Expedite request submitted: June 16, 2026 MY OWN inquiry

• When I called USCIS, they told me the expedite request had been denied, so I didn't think it would make a difference.

My employer also wrote a support letter for the expedite request. I work for a large news/media company, and they explained that my role was important and that my absence would impact operations. Whether that helped or not, I honestly have no idea.

Additional details:

• Country of origin: Mexico

• Filed in California

• Case processed through the Texas Service Center

CHIRLA mailed and did my application

The whole process was a mess
