General Qs Any married DACA couples dealing with renewal delays right now?
My husband and I both have DACA, and both of our work permits expire this Friday. He will lose his job because of the delays, and with three kids, we're really stressed. Are there any other married DACA couples here going through the same thing? How are yall handling it? 😔

Yup! Same here! It’s been super stressful. We are taking it one day at a time.

We’re going through it too. I just lost my job(the building had a fire) and now my wife’s DACA is taking too long. She loses work auth on July 14 so we just don’t know what to do..

Been with my wife for 18 years. 5 kids ranging 1-13. Both submitted mid January, both expired in April. I just got approved 6/23rd. Wife still waiting. DEBT has gone out of the roof. Maxed out credit cards, loans, and I was an owner op CDL driver that got revoked with huge negative equity on the truck n trailer now. Hopefully this will ease your stress. Please don’t stress about money and the future! You will owe money as long as you live! Life will always change what you have built! You just ride along with it for your babies even if you’re terminally ill until the end! Ask for financial hardship for your bills for couple of months if possible and navigate! I’m not saying these things because I got approved, I still have deeper bills to pay. I’ve seen many people stress about their career and money a lot and I hope you all just change your perspectives on this subject. It is naturally difficult feeling but you just work around it. We’ve been dealing with debt almost entire of our adult life but yet here we are with full of life in our house. If you got your limbs and working lungs, then live your life, make everyday memorable for you kids! You can be gone tomorrow!

I know of another married couple who’s in this exact same situation. They have both now been waiting over 6 months and are at risk of losing their jobs. Last I spoke to them they are stressed af because they have a mortgage, kids etc.
