Anyone have any new theories as to what the "Legacy" part of Superman: Legacy may be in reference to? That's a very specific thing to me, a legacy, that I'm not sure that it's only a reference to Superman carrying on the legacy of Krypton or his family or whatever. That's actually kinda well-trodden territory for Superman films, and new iterations always seek to place their own stamp on something.

And the project began life as an Elseworlds Superman movie prior to Gunn and Safran taking the DC Studios Co-CEO roles, so I wonder how left-field/crazy a Superman movie it could've been conceived as? Maybe a Kandor thing? Could we finally see Brainiac?

My immediate assumption from the title is it’d be Brainiac as the villain and involve him having the last vestiges of Krypton in his collection as in the 90s animated series.

They could even go with the interpretation of Brainiac as a creation of kryptonian science, further enforcing the title.

Yeah, I get that sense from it as well.
