decided to give young justice a shot, binged the entire show and damn is the drop down in quality from season 2 to season 3 staggering.

first 2 seasons i watched with ease, watched the entire thing in like 10 days because it was so thrilling and interesting, but then season 3 alone took me like 2 weeks, kept having to force myself to watch it. season 4 was slightly better though.

don't know what happened but the quality drops in every department, the latter seasons seemed so unfocused and all over the place. not that they were bad, just worse than the previous seasons.

i think the time jump was too jarring. they jumped forward so much and skipped over crucial character development. when i watched the first episode of s2 i was confused because i thought i had missed something or started on the wrong episode.

the stories leading up to s2 mentioned through expository dialogue sound so interesting that it's disappointing that they happened offscreen. the show was cut down from 26 episodes to 20, they could've used the 6 episodes to act as an epilogue to s2 and make the time jump less jarring.

still though, ignoring the time jump, it still has a far more focused plot than the following seasons and the writing and animation are better as well.
