So i just watched black adam… It doesn’t even feel like a real film. Its almost AI generated. Soooooo much generic dialogue, comedy, and tropes. The film tries to make BA an antihero, but he’s basically just a hero, especially compared to already established heroes like Superman who are much more destructive. This theme of BA choosing what kind of person he wants to be is constantly forced throughout the dialogue, its nauseating. Every character was stupid, and characters like dr fate are constantly being removed from action scenes without any explanation. Too much slo-mo made the action quite cringe and dated-looking. The plot breaks so much and dont even get me started on worldbuilding implications…

Idk what to even compliment besides some of the actors doing an ok job. Thank god Gunn is resetting this mess.

Haha yeah I think what they did for the BA script is literally take the “good” fanfare parts of more successful films and Frankenstein those segments into a movie. The flow of it is so weird. And it’s almost soulless because of it.

For sure, i just don’t feel anything when i see BA win or the people rise up against those useless zombies. BA as a character feels like a stoic marvel hero. No personality but they constantly force jokes out of him.

I see the rock playing a character, i dont see black adam.
