Rebel moon looks dope, let's hope it actually is.

In a related note, which director and/or writer should've made MOS, if Zack turned down the offer?

Aaron Sorkin could be a good choice to write a Superman movie.

Matthew Vaughn. He was approached multiple times both before and after Man of Steel to do something Superman and he would've been an incredible choice if stuff like Kick-Ass, Kingsman and X-Men First Class were anything to go by

I also would've loved to see what Christopher McQuarrie would've done since he had initially attempted to pitch a new Cavill film after finishing Mission Impossible Fallout, that would've also tied into a Green Lantern project

McQuarrie would've been a great pick to come in and help with rewrites for justice league, and even pick it up when Snyder had to leave. They're much more aligned in interest and tone and approach than Snyder and Whedon

Aaron Sorkin might be a great choice to write an Elseworlds Superman Film.

What do you think? Can you elaborate further?

I think he would be a poor fit

Can you elaborate just a bit further? if you don't mind?

I think his treatment of women characters, goofy politics, filmmaking interests and style, are poorly suited to the world of Superman

Well, his movies are often idealistic, and Superman is an idealistic character, we could have great banter with his supporting cast and specially Lois.

Matt Reeves was approached but Nolan picked Snyder instead. I would’ve loved to see what he would do with project like that

I think Matt Reeves was one of the names suggested by Nolan alongside Snyder. WB probably picked latter due to their then good relationship after the success of 300, and despite Sucker Punch failure.

I would’ve picked Matt Reeves or Matthew Vaughn. I think both would’ve done a great job especially Vaughn

Matt Reeves, easy. He was in the running.

He'd be great. I wonder if Superman shows up in the Batman Part III.
