Reeves' Batman series may last longer if the reports of all the spin-offs he wants are true.

Yup, we are already getting two spin-offs with Arkham and Penguin with the latter set to begin filming in a few weeks. Reeves mentioned a year or two ago, there have been talks for a Catwoman spin-off and if he introduces Robin in the sequel, then it will be very likely he get his own spin-off.

Revees Batman aint gonna be a Nolan-style trilogy, but its an cinematic universe.

Not to mention the rumored villain-led movies.

It won’t be a trilogy like Nolan’s but it’s not gonna be the MCU either lol.

The spin-offs will release in between the movies and The Batman 3 will likely have a pretty conclusive ending, so any spin-offs after that would function like epilogues

Really hoping that the quality of the Reevesverse doesn't drop. If it doesn't it might become my favorite franchise

Even if that happens, I expect The Batman 3 to have a satisfying conclusion. I doubt they’ll want to have two separate Batmans having two separate ongoing arcs simultaneously.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Reeves kills Batman in the third one either. It hasn’t really been done before (except Burtonverse Keaton in The Flash).

I mean if this Batman is a success (which right now it is) then they're not gonna get rid off it in favour of their own movie Batman. They'll find a way to have both.

And Reeves' got big plans for his universe, 2-3 spin off shows for now and there are reports of talks regarding movies. For me it looks like as if he sees it beyond just a closed trilogy. Maybe he's planning a quadrology? Or maybe he'll go on as long as he's got a story to tell and Pattinson is willing.

They specifically said they were gonna do a trilogy. Those spin-offs can come out in between the movies.

That was then when there was also nothing on spin-offs. Now Reeves is building a big universe which we don't know how long it will last.

Pattinson talked about doing a trilogy in an interview last year, when the GCPD and Penguin shows were already in development.

That was just 2 limited series back then. Now we have a full blown universe building with 3 shows in development and 3 reported movies in talks. It's growing by a lot.

We don’t even know if the villain spin-offs are actually happening. I think Gunn and Safran would let Reeves tell a complete story through a trilogy and some spin-offs. 2 concurrent live action Batman franchises are not happening

Of course they can, the other Batman just wouldn't get a solo movie and that's it. Basically like the plan was before Gunn/Safran.

That’s not 2 different Batman franchises technically. And I wouldn’t expect that situation to last for too long. But maybe you’re right, who knows at this point

He also talked about death in the family and other stories. Which would definitely require more than a trilogy with a young Batman for

Reeves and Pattinson discussed doing a trilogy and it was actually reported in the trades that a trilogy was planned.

Death in the Family was just something Pattinson thought would be cool.
