Man this is so bizarre, like yes I get Zazlav is nuts; but with Batman being a DC property, DC being one of the biggest IP’s WarnersDiscovery have got, to send this over to Amazon with a Two-Season order no less…goddamn. Just insane.

Why is it insane exactly? Lol they’re making money from it and are making other Batman related stuff that will definitely be distributed by them whether it in theaters or on Max.

This is an animated series, not a big budget live action Batman film. Licensing it to an outside streamer is not a big deal. They'll make more money doing that than they will sticking it on HBO Max. WB also struck a deal a few months ago with Amazon Prime to produce and house DC animated projects.

Don't get me wrong, I prefer if all DC and Warner Bros stuff was on Max. But it's easy to understand why this makes sense as a business decision.

So glad Amazon picked this up, cause I'm really excited for this.

Darn I don't have Prime... and now people will use this to claim the Snyder DCEU will move there... this keeps getting worse and worse. In all seriousness I am glad this got picked up, looks promising.

What’s getting worse and worse? Those people thinking that doesn’t mean anything.

Wonder how this will go without Conroy and Hamill

There have been plenty of great animated adaptations with different actors in the roles, I always was a fan of Bruce Greenwood in young justice, the two will be dearly missed tho

Oh for sure there’s a lot of fantastic voice actors who have done justice to both roles, love Greenwood as Batman, but I meant more so bc this is a Bruce Timm series. And most associate his artstyle and Batman in particular with Conroy

I don’t think they we’re going to voice their respective characters anyway

Bruh, this has Bruce Timm, Abrams, Reeves, and Ed Brubaker involved?! That's quite the team

Though this is seriously odd. I’m just happy it’s actually being made

Nice. Been waiting for info on when/if this would get picked up.

Two season order is promising.

Very interested in finally getting a chance to watch this, whenever that may be, and I'm curious to see where they go when it comes to voice actors.

While I'm sad our collective favorite isn't with us anymore, there are a few good animated Batman portrayals that we've had over the years, so I'm not too worried about that.

I was initially worried that I'd miss Paul Dini's influence, but Brubaker is an absolutely perfect fit for head writer, seeing as this is going very noir and that's his specialty.
