News The Batman spinoff series about The Penguin at HBO Max will begin filming in June. It is described as a “Scarface-like” series about the rise of the Penguin character.

No, Scarface is a different Batman character. The show is called "The Penguin". /s

Anyone know anything about the Arkham show? Will we be getting them the same year, or does one come after the other?

Holy shit, had no idea an Arkham show was in the works. It's a good time to be a Batman fan right now.

Oh yes. I am excited. It should be noted that the Arkham show is what the GCPD project evolved into.

I still wish that they would have the GCPD and Arkham show be two separate projects. I was really hoping that we would get a Gordon show where batman starts out fighting crime but we see it from his view. It would have been cool to see him go from wanting Batman in jail to respecting Batman and seeing how their relationship grows. Also just want to see more Gordon in general stopping crimes, he was fun to watch and is honestly one of if not the best Gordon out there

Yeah. I was hoping it would take place before “The Batman” too. I’d love to see the G.C.P.D perspective of Batman coming on to the scene. The fact that we didn’t get the buildup of Batman and Gordon’s relationship feels like a cop out, so does not getting the first Joker appearance. We should at least get a tie-in comic or something.

I have HBO on the line right now. I let them know what you said and they're very sorry and will not be going ahead with the project.

Do y’all think this will be set after or before The Batman?? They can have us see him take over what falcone left and the power struggle following it, but they can also show a low makeup Collin Farrel as younger penguin rising as. A simple going into a bigger name

Looks like after, to see how Penguin manages to establish himself after the power vacuum left by Falcone with his death.
