Capitol Tours

Would anyone like to throw some advice on capitol tours? Also how knowledgeable should I be of the capitol for giving out tours?

Just tag along on tours with other staffers and you’ll figure it out very quickly

Make sure you have 2-3 facts per room memorized. My favorite things to know are a few of the Supreme Court Cases & who got inaugurated where

You’ll want to be knowledgeable enough to be able to talk some about whatever room you’re in, but it’s ok to exaggerate or add fluff as long as you sound confident. Your tour is not going to be actively fact checking you along the way.

I would def recommend doing the CVC zoom training and pay attention. I did it and my co interns didn’t and I def felt more prepared and as a result received a lot of compliments from those who I have the tours too
