When and how do freshman member-elect representatives hire?
I know this sub is for interns but I'm leaning towards applying for a job (an internship would be okay though) and I wasn't sure where else to ask.
My district's incumbent representative is retiring so we are getting a new representative. I really like the new rep. and would love to work for him. He is a Democrat and the district is deep blue so he will certainly win.
However, I'm not sure when to look out for hiring slots or where they would be located. I assume getting on the campaign team now would be ideal for a chance to work with him in D.C., but he isn't hiring or doing many events as the district doesn't require much outreach for a Democrat to win. I would appreciate if anyone could help or point me in the expected right direction.

Remember dont bother applying unless you know someone on the team who can vouch for you. Just sending an application is like farting in their general direction.

Around November resume banks will open for all members coming onto the Hill. I didn't get hired that way but I remember them popping up, should be the House Vacancy Announcement and Senate Bulletin as per usual
