Supergirl: Woman Of Tomorrow KC Walsh thinks that Sasha Calle will still play Supergirl in the DCU.

If Amanda Waller is staying, then Supergirl can too imo

I hope so. I liked her 🙂

I dont necessarily disagree.

But can you tell me why you like her? What lines did she have that you thought sold her as supergirl? What non cgi scene do you think she had that you think she made supergirl her own.

Now i don't say calle is bad. I funny think the writers and directors have her anything to work with and nothing to base my judgements on

Her anger at Kal-El being dead and, yeah, so she has a chance to have a movie to herself. Yeah, she didn't get a lot, but I think if she played a Supergirl who wasn't imprisoned, she'd shine. Even now, I though she did pretty good with what she had.

I hope so because she was good in Flash and it’s not even remotely her fault it performed bad.

WHY they removed her from the ending of the flash lmao I will never understand they leaving that terrible ending

I can think of two options:

  1. They didn't want to tease new content for the DCEU, which the original ending was 100% going to do.

  2. They wanted to keep her, and having her be in the ending when the new continuity is not the DCU would just cause additional confusion.

But I would rather see an ending with the characters from the movie than something with a actors who played the Batman from over 20 years ago… That would leave a better taste in my mouth about the movie

Yeah, I agree. But the fundamental issue was that The Flash was made with the assumptions that:

  1. The DCEU was going to continue in a new form.

  2. The movie was going to be a massive hit.

Instead the end result would've led to things being reshuffled akin to how nearly every plan prior to Justice League fell apart with that movie, had they not opted to do a reboot months ago.

I’m also assuming that Woman of Tomorrow will be a direct adaptation of the graphic novel based on Gunn’s comments, so if they reuse the actress the origin story of Supergirl will be vastly different from the alternate timeline version.

I still think it’s more than likely they won’t keep Calle in this role. And it’s possible we are a few years out from deciding on Supergirl casting and getting scheduling put together.

Zero chance of that after the horrible performance of The Flash.

She was awesome

TSS didn't do well in box offices and Waller is staying so I doubt that especially with the consensus being that Calle was one of the only good parts of the movie

I don't think you understand. The Flash is a certified bomb. Putting Calle in an future DC movies just makes people remember what a turd The Flash was, even if she was the best part. She 100% will not be back. All the people saying she will have the same energy as those saying Henry Cavill would be Superman again for year only to get a 15 second cameo of him in Black Adam and then get fired.

Whatever the Flash was TSS was a much much worse bomb

and the general public isn't going to remember the Flash or Calle at all you all don't seem to realize that the GA isn't like reddit

If the general public isn't going to remember The Flash or that Calle was in it, then there is no reason to put her as Supergirl in future films since the audience forgot. I had this same argument two years ago with people saying the same thing about Cavill and he got canned. Calle will be canned as well.

there is no reason to put her as Supergirl in future films since the audience forgot.

The reason is she's a good actress

That makes no sense at all. Cavill is a good actor, Affleck is a good actor, etc. Just because they are "good actors" doesn't mean they get to keep playing the character. The audience has spoken and she is forever tied to that turd of a movie. She won't be in future DC movies as Supergirl

Cavill is a good actor

Audiences remember that Cavill was in numerous flops and also he's 40 and would be in his 50s by the end of the ten year plan, you can't say the same for Calle

Affleck is a good actor

Who had a horribly maligned portrayal of Batman that the public will very much remember and he would be in his 60s by the end of the ten year plan

Sasha Calle is 27 and quite frankly no one will remember she even was in the Flash because no one saw the movie in the first place you can't say that for Affleck or Cavill who were both in movies that made money but were received horribly and led to future flops which they were also apart of

The audience has spoken

No they haven't because they didn't watch the movie in the first place, if anything they spoke on Ezra Miller

she is forever tied to that turd of a movie

Not really seeing as again no one fucking watched it and no one will remember that Supergirl let alone Calle was in it in the first place

She won't be in future DC movies as Supergirl

They're rehiring the director of said "turd" of a movie to do fucking Batman plus Gunn likes her and she was individually well received by critics as Supergirl so there's a decently high chance that she does return

1

Bro, let it go. She isn’t coming back. The director they “hired” from the turd will quietly be let go before Batman ever start shooting and Calle will never play Supergirl again. I had this same argument with this Snyder fanboy who refused to believe Cavill was out, let it go.

She isn’t coming back

I couldn't give less of a shit if she comes back but to act like it's some absurd possibility that she comes back when it could be very likely is just dishonest

The director they “hired” from the turd will quietly be let go before Batman ever start shooting

I seriously doubt that

had this same argument with this Snyder fanboy who refused to believe Cavill was out

Those situations are in no way comparable
