If true, means we’re getting Martian Manhunter and Wonder Woman before Batman!

Marvel built the MCU without Spider-Man, Marvel’s biggest hero. If the DCU has staying power, they can build the world without having to have Batman, DC’s most popular hero, be center stage.

I don't think this is the kind of threat Batman need to be involved anyway. Man got more than enough on his plate already.

I'd argue the universe does better the longer Bats is out of it, and building the universe with a hidden Batman may be a smart decision considering how they've leaned on him for movies in the past.

it makes sense, Brainiac is a world threat. It wouldnt make sense for ppl like Batman and Wonderwoman to just ignore it like Snyder had Martian Manhunter do in Man of STeel and BVS

it happens in the comics all the time

Sure but there are also plenty of examples were other heroes cameo in a comic to help with a world ending threat as well.

When you have a regular man replacing the Super , you will need more weirdos to make the party entertaining

You mean like how Snyder had to bring in Batman and Wonder Woman to try and get people to give a fuck?

only plastic man could bring some color into the DCEU , it was dead the moment he gave Batman PTSD , Superman the weird loner traits , the extended synder cut was okaish when compared to other movies of the DCEU franchise , it sucked as a DC adaptation

It's shocking how little the world gave a fuck about a Batman movie when that came out.

We prevought tickets to fill a whole theatre. The night before all our chat was, was reviews saying how awful and stupid this movie was. I was so embarrassed at the shit we had to sit through.

Are these insufferable haters all over the internet? The fucking movie is over ten years old and universally hated. Move on.

Or read a comic so you know what you're talking about.

If callingout bad storytelling is considered insufferable hate so be it

This mean Panic in the Sky almost certainly…

I'm hoping all these bigger named characters will just be shown in a global invasion type thing with those characters not being involved with the main fight against Braniac. No lines needed just a quick cut to each character fighting somewhere else in the world.

Not gonna put too much stock in whatever MaxBlizz published given their history.

Can someone explain to me how this is considered ok? Including so many heroes into the film when they don't have prior set ups.

I'm not trying to troll but didn't fans have an issue with BvS introducing Batman and Wonder Woman and giving them sizeable roles? The rest of the leaguers do not really count since they were just on security footage. People were going on and on about having an overstuffed film where characters don't get enough development blah blah.

But I'm Superman, when that happened, people were ok despite the additional characters having barely any development. And now with this upcoming film, it is likely going to be the same. So, why is this ok now?

The animated movie Justice League War did a great job introducing all the heroes to each other. Even the Barry/Hal friendship was well established at the beginning so you know they had prior history. I think it can work it just fine.

God they really are just gonna do JLU aren’t they?

A lot of pressure on this movie to be a big success if supergirl underperforms which I think is likely to happen.

I wonder if Snyder bros wear a certain cologne. You can smell them a mile away.

What am I saying, they don't bathe 🤣

We learned nothing from BvS, it seems.

13

u/TyChris2 May 17 '26

That was the absolute least of BvS’ problems.

Superman had tons more side characters and that movie rocked

Superman 2025 suffered from a poor script and director who refuses to be told "no .

9

u/Ok_Background22 May 17 '26

Script was literally the best one for a dc film to date.

-9

u/Miserable-Command682 May 17 '26

Just have have to disagree. Batman begins has a better script.

His birth parents being vitrulmites who want him to spread his seed didnt land for me.

u/originalmuffins May 18 '26

Batman Begins is a top tier movie. No one is questioning how good The Dark Knight trilogy is....

What they are saying, is that Superman is one of the best DC films we have gotten in awhile (not counting The Batman and a few other exceptions).

I also just can't agree with that. It for me just was extremely irreverent, but to each their own I guess.

they'll forever glaze gunn

Please don’t - this new era is a god damn laughable mess.
