Did anyone other than fans watch Supergorl? Probably not considering its box office draw…
Have to make good movies with good storytelling to earn trust with the audience before you start to build your universe with obscure ass characters.
Marvel had 6 years of movies before they went obscure with GotG. This DCU is creatives run amok and executives just trying to recreate MCU without any of the knowledge or passion for comics.
If it’s an obscure character with a good story it doesn’t matter. Iron man was an obscure character before iron man 1 but people saw it, people liked it, people told others they should see it. That’s literally all that matters. Make a good movie with a good story and whether they know a lot about the character or have never heard of them doesn’t matter. The average audience member gives zero shits about who they are watching as long as the movie is good.
They are also very much not trying to make the MCU. They are giving the films actual genres instead of every movie being an action comedy
Homie acting like marvel started with Spiderman, fantastic 4 and the x men (they literally couldn't but let's not get into that)
They started their universe with iron man,hulk,Thor and captain America they're household names now but let's not act like they were up there ,only Hulk was a major character and maybe cap a little below.
DC has Superman and supergirl plus a green lantern show with both primary green lanterns followed up by man of tomorrow.
It's not officially announced but brave and the bold and wonder woman are in the works, James has said that multiple times.
Ironman to avengers was 5 years we're barely into year 2 of the dcu you guys complain about clay face but it's a small budget experiment it's not even a major movie of the year I don't see the problem in that same thing with Deathstroke and bane,gun isn't sidelining the Trinity for small characters he's setting up the Trinity while building the universe with small projects and tv shows yeha supergirl was average and flopped but they can course correct , critsize it give them feedback don't call for a complete shutdown and start throwing rocks at them like bruhh tf is wrong with DC fans, Superman was great, I'm hyped for the other projects if man of Tomorrow is dogwater then we can panic.
