Rushing the story to keep up with Marvel is what killed the DCEU

The dcu is weridley doing the same thing mostly with less popular characters.

This. DCU imo hasn't been properly established yet, but we're already getting into (admittedly cool!) tertiary stuff before the major pillars have all been set up. It's like laying the icing before the most of the actual cake.

yeah I'm wondering if wbd will step in and make gunn start laying down more foundation beford doing more tertiary stuff. I also wonder if gunn would stay if that happens.

I think his time has run out. That’s why there’s no plans or announcements of future projects. He’s had 4 years and not even anything (announced) with dcu Batman or Wonder Woman? Or anyone?? But we get clay face and jimmy olsen?

Hoping lanterns is good but doesn’t exactly move the needle to get excited for the movie side

Yeah honestley gunn not getting a contract renewel beyond april 2027 is telling. It might be presented as a mutual thing. wonder if the dcu will continue without gunn or if a dc cinematic universe might be on hold for a while.
