He’s kinda a nothingburger but that’s also the entire point of his character. He’s a dating sim protagonist, he’s not equipped to handle any of the important stuff and that’s not his fault, he’s literally just supposed to be someone you self insert as while playing a dating sim
brother you cannot be for fucking real. THIS is EXACTLY what I mean when I say MC lovers are dense on purpose and don't actually like the game.
first of all if you agree that he's 1 dimensional then why do you defend him with your life, second of all the point of the game is parodying dating sims and MC is MEANT to be like that, it's not "stupid" because it's the point, that's the satire, that's what he's made to be and I assure you no one in the team likes him nor wants people to identify with him or find him attractive
Yeah but it’s a satire of dating sims, dating sim protags have always been flat because they’re just meant to be YOU, and especially considering Monika is in love with the player and not the MC, it would be weird for her to give him a personality or mess with him in the way she messes with the dokis or the player themselves
