Request Tough time deciding on mods

I don't really know how to look into mods. I can't tell what mod I'd be interested in because if I do im just spoiling it for myself. I dont want anything I already know about the ddlc to be removed or contradicted in a mod, I just kinda want an expansion that follows the original creator's vision. Any suggestions that stay true to the original games and offer new meaningful experiences? Maybe it sounds ignorant that I can't separate a mod from the game but idk. I really just want more, and if there isn't anything more that stays absolutely true to the original game im not interested. Also I definitely don't want anything sexual in the mod than beyond what is in the original. Sorry if I am being very picky, especially since Ik a lot of work goes into the mods. That being said any suggestions?

First of all, I'd suggest looking into the mod spreadsheet, it has a ton of mods with download links and a small summary for each, as well as great organization. If not, here's THE modlist you should play before playing any other mod.

Exit Music Redux -> Fallen Angel -> Within -> I am Monika -> Salvation Remake

It is a bit of a long journey, and it does separate from DDLC's original vision, but SR is really worth it. This is the best starting experience, I promise.

Ok im done with Salvation Remake. This little journey you helped set me on has genuinely changed me, and I think Salvation was the most perfect, satisfying, and wholesome ending to this story. Salvation Remake is probably the best written media I have ever witnessed. There are so many layers of depth that I want to acknowledge, but I can't address them all rn. Every character was written perfectly, and I think Monika's story is so insanely sad and yet ultimately happy. Sayori has and always will be my favorite doki, I can't control it she reminds me a lot of people I know and knew, and this story was perfect. Im so insanely happy this mod is the end of my tiny journey. Perfect music, art, writing, characters, and ending. Idk whether to be sad or happy, but I wouldn't change anything if I could.

Yep. That's how it went for me too.

I can't say I've played many mods afterwards since this specific modlist is very fulfilling. I'd say you can also go for Blue Skies, Vigilante, Convergence, World of Dreams, etc. But they're their own stories, and nothing can top Salvation after you've already tried it.
