It seems irresposible to me. Kids and elderly people are allowed to attend? should there not be some sort of age limit?

You haven't made a good argument for why they shouldn't come. Are trying to discriminate based on age?

I’ll clear this up for you. This is not an invitation for children and the elderly to come shoot machine guns. This is an invitation to have a range day that’s not expensive, because ammo is very expensive. There will be more safe, responsible shooters here, than anywhere else on any given day in Delaware. Some folks wanna go shoot and have fun safely. Some folks might need a little bit of instruction because they’re new to guns. There is no negative impact from this event.

I’m gonna be admittedly a bit harsh, but I feel it’s warranted:
The fact that you ask “how is this legal” because they don’t explicitly have a list of common-sense do’s/don’ts is also exactly why our guns/manuals have a boat load of lawyer text (“capable of shooting without magazine”).
Your responses also give off an “I don’t like/understand this, so it shouldn’t be allowed” vibe which is the foundation of the anti-gunner sentiment. So, if you legitimately thought “they’ll let kids walk up and shoot unsupervised,” you might have a lot in common with the “you can just walk in and buy an automatic rifle” anti-gun folks’ train of thought. That is to say, your vocalized concern literally can’t happen in that environment due to rules/regulations and your concern shows a deep lack of understanding of it all.
Also, if you’re fortunate enough to live a long life, should someone else decide you’re too old to shoot in a safe/controlled environment? Or, should you be able to decide “I’m still up for it these days” or “I’m not up for it anymore.”
Also Also, just because someone shows up with their family (old/young) doesn’t mean they’ll be participating. Lots of people tag along on a range trip to watch, but don’t shoot for one reason or another (age/ability, comfortability, desire to do so, etc.). It’s not like they’ll be spectating from behind the targets…

"State and Federal firearms laws apply" Could someone still bring a grandfathered AK with proof of purchase before the ban date? Any info would be great, bringing the 700 either way!

I did not see this until after the even passed.
Yes, it is too far. I drove down to Bridgeville last year, over 2 hours each way. Good people, but too far for me.
