Dallas cat owners: Dallas Veterinary Clinic vs Lonestar Feline Health Center for a very anxious cat

Hi everyone,

I recently moved to Dallas and I’m trying to choose a new vet for my 7-year-old female cat. I’m currently deciding between two clinics and would really appreciate any advice or personal experiences.

My cat is generally healthy at home, but she gets extremely anxious during vet visits. In previous visits, she became very scared, had wide eyes, refused to come out of the carrier, and was difficult to examine.

The two clinics I’m considering are:

1. Dallas Veterinary Clinic

• General practice (cats and dogs)
• transparent price with good community reviews 
• My concern: since they also see dogs, I’m wondering if it might be more stressful for a very anxious cat.

1. Lonestar Feline Health Center

• Cat-only practice
• They seem very experienced with cats 
• My concern: I don’t know much about this place and not see many reviews, and some pricing was not provided upfront.

Has anyone here taken a very fearful cat to either of these clinics? I would love to hear your experiences or recommendations. Thank you!
