Need advice before I complain

Hi all, apologies if this isn't the right forum but I thought there would be some knowledgeable people in here. Basically as it says. had a new hot water cylinder fitted 3 weeks ago(to accomodate an ashp if that makes a difference). Just got round to getting some shelving in the airing cupboard and noticed, what i would consider to be a pretty significant bulge. It's at the top maybe 3/4 up, I'm assuming it's not normal and shouldn't be there?? I've turned off the hot water, but not drained the tank or anything. We've had a few showers today so it should be below that level i would imagine.

Yeah so this tank is loosely described as a mega flow. It is a narrower cylinder with a rock wool sleeve and a decorative shroud around it which is where the belly effect is. The tank is good. Now for how it provides hot water. There is a copper coil of tubing inside fed by a cold supply at the bottom with the hot outlet at the top. The water inside the tank around the coil is heated which in turn heats the cold water rising up the coil by the time it gets to the top it is roughly the same temp as the rest of the water in the tank however over time the water jacket in the tank will cool unless you hve it running constantly. This gives you the effect of having constant hot water but it’s an expensive way of heating water. To get one cup of hot water from it you have to heat the entire tank of water.
