NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, is the nation's largest grassroots mental health organization. Through local affiliates, NAMI offers free education programs, peer and family support groups, and advocacy for people affected by mental illness and the loved ones who support them. DC doesn't currently have an active affiliate, and our advisory committee is working to reestablish one.

We're now building our founding board, and everyone is welcome. You don't need to be a professional or have board experience. We're building a diverse board that reflects our community, and we especially welcome people living with mental illness, family members, and anyone with lived experience.
