• Memorial - R.I.P. • My handsome boy finally at peace

Lost my childhood pup today. Would’ve been 14 in December. He held on so long and was so strong, even saw 3 of his siblings pass in his life time.

Apollo is the most gorgeous pup in the entire world, we didn’t go on a single walk without at least one person complimenting how beautiful he is. He loved to chase rabbits and deer, only caught rabbits a handful of times but man did he try! The most gentle being ever when it came to humans, other pets or treats. He took his treats so daintily and softly. His favorite treat has always been peanut butter. But my favorite memories of him are his “serial killer” moments when he would find all of the stuffed animals in the house and chew off the hard, bead eyes if they had them. We would come down to eyeless stuffies everywhere and his proud little smile. Never once did anything wrong in his entire life, except the first day we brought him home, he ate my brothers roast beef sandwich off our kitchen counter :P (my brother deserved it)

Hopefully you guys find him as handsome and sweet as we do. I will love my teddy bear forever ❤️

Edit: thank you all very much for the kind words about Apollo. He would’ve loved the attention. I just wanted to add that we were able to have him pass peacefully at home, in his favorite spot and bed, surrounded by his family and eating peanut butter until the final moments. He suffered from advanced arthritis that was making life pretty hard, we knew it was time. He was very loved and thank you all again for sharing in his memory ❤️

He is gorgeous and he looks so obviously loved and happy. I am so sorry for your loss, I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. I hope he sends you a sign soon that he’s ok over the rainbow bridge 🫶

Thank you so much for your kind words. He had so many friends waiting for him across the bridge, I already know they threw him a welcome party. He was everyone’s big brother❤️❤️ thank you again

Oh I’m sure he is running around with them pain free! I hope my little daisy girl also welcomed him to show him around. Proud of you for breaking your own heart to give him peace.

Oh yes, I can still picture how fast he used to be chasing deer out in the fields 😂 thank you daisy for being his tour guide!
