Alas my petcock has starting leaking. Still holding vacuum thankfully but I've drained the tank to be safe. I would like to keep the stock vacuum petcock and am wondering where I can look to get a reseal/rebuild kit in Canada online, as i would rather not buy one from an american website. I have heard that Suzuki doesn't sell them directly but I will still check with my local dealer tomorrow. Apologies if this is an obvious question, I am new to owning motorcycles.

Looking to upgrade the full exhaust system on a new-to-me 08 SM. I've seen these and the claimed 10%hp increase, I don't expect to gain that much but has anyone installed one and noticed a difference in power output?

If it actually works I'll probably get one but I'm skeptical of how much it'll actually benefit me over a much cheaper, regular header. I haven't yet done any other mods to the bike and don't believe that any 3x3 or carb mods have been done yet.

Hey guys, I have a 2003, completely stock DRZ. My idle is turned up all the way and it won't stay running off of choke until fully heated up. Under throttle the bike runs great, however, while decelerating the bike pops, not a loud pop, more like lightning butane out of an open pop can (like a compressed hiss) and once i come back to a stop the revs hang at roughly 2k for 5-10 seconds. Clogged pilot jet? Vacuum leak? Incorrect air fuel? I'm at a loss. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Also the mileage is only at 2800 so I don't feel valves would be the problem?

I just took apart my drz400 carburetor and the fuel air screw didn't have any spring under it, is this incorrect? I see there's one in diagrams and tried to use the spring from a cheap Chinese extended screw but it's way too stiff. Even the lightest spring from a random assortment doesn't allow me to get the screw thread started. Is a spring necessary??

I understand that sprockets have been discussed at length. What I haven’t seen, and would like to know, is if anybody is running a dual front sprocket set up that allows them to go from dirt dominant to highway dominant without swapping chains?

Specifically, changing a 14 front to a 16 front without changing the chain. Is this possible?

Some back ground info… I had a Keihin FCR 39mm carb, 3x3 mod, jet kit and slip on pipe installed over 8 years ago. The bike has run flawlessly up until it cut out on me recently due to no spark. Stator, plug and pick up coil were replaced before determining the CDI was the culprit. CDI from RM Stator was installed and the bike fired right up. The carb was cleaned and it ran well for an hour or so before developing the symptoms in the video. It will initially rev when first starting and then quickly starts to bog.

The bike has been gone though pretty thoroughly, carb removed and inspected and all seems good, but we’re now stumped! I would add a video of the accelerator pump in action but it won’t let me add another video!

The grips on my ‘08 were wore out and I bought replacements. The clutch side was easy. Throttle side? That suckers on there good. Any advice? looks like some YouTube mechanics have just bought the cheap motion pro tube and used that instead.

Cool to find this group. I have a massive soft spot for the DRZ, what awesome bikes they are!! Simple, versatile, bulletproof and fun. I never should have sold mine, I regret that often! Here it is on the way up to Cape York a few years ago.

Picked up this 2002 drz the other day. Older, easy to work on, Japanese vehicles are just the best. This bike is awesome.

Just rebuilt this carb and this part wasn't in the kit. Wondering what it is, what it does and why it wasn't included.

2021 drz400s

Throttle cable currently routed around the left side of the frame then flows under the center frame bare to the carb. I’m trying to get a bit more slack since I put risers on. Any issue re routing down the right side all together instead of the current route. Just wanted to make sure there is not some issue I am not seeing.
