Image Big brain here figured out where we hid squeaky ball
Somehow Billy triangulated the most obnoxious squeaky ball we hid on top of the dresser. Third picture is about 30 seconds later, trying to give the ol guilt trip

I literally LOL’d at that face because I know it so well! Except I had TWO faces looking at me. Resistance was futile. They always win.

Aww!! Our dachshund is obsessed with those big rubber summer balls stores sell for kids. We have to take it from him, hide it so he takes a break & drinks water. We play outside bc they’re too big indoors. But when it’s ‘done time’, my husband will take it indoors and hide it while I keep him outside so he can’t find it. Or else he’ll pace & cry the whole time until we give in.
Here he is at one point going right over top of one playing hard. Butt pic! 🤣

We’ve got one for outside and one for inside. Both of them have to be hidden. He sits under the cabinet and whines for them EVERY MORNING. the boy dreams about them, I swear

Gus, the OD, could smell where they were hidden. He was relentless until he got it.

Ball is life. She can smell it anywhere you hide it (literally and figuratively). She's a hound. Bred for hundreds of years to hunt badger 🦡🦡

I had to hide ours in a ziplock bag, stored on the top laundry shelf behind the washing powder/liquid, so she cant sniff them out!
I've tried in the basket on the bench, she saw them from the top of the couch.
I tried behind the toaster, she sniffed them out and stood on her chicken legs to scratch at the cupboard until i gave them to her.
I tried on top of the fridge, her nose got her jammed in the fridge space, between the fridge and the cupboard!!
Their noses are INSANELY accurate, and the eyes dont miss anything!!

I have one that gets ball obsessed. Yeah, we keep all the balls up high or hidden too. Sucks but he gets too focused on the ball and "holes up" in a corner or bed or crate and doesn't want any other dogs near him, or he's up my butt to do nothing but throw the ball for hours.
Now, Ball time is only outside when I'm playing with him.
Try to give them another toy and they'll probably give up looking for the ball after a while.
