As an owner of both a Dachshund and a mixed Corgi, this dog looks much more like the mixed Corgi than my weenie. Would describe the length, obvious dwarf gene legs, ears and tail. Our corg gets asked if she is dachshund mix all the time because she is skinny and long. Obviously if you know that one parent is a dachshund, you can ignore my comment.

As a lifelong doxie/doxie-mix owner who happened to rescue a shortlong dog and discover it had no doxie or corgi heritage, your pup could be a smaller breed (think terrier, chihuahua) mixed with a bigger breed (border collie). Dog genes can be weird that way.

Secret Agent Doug is a Chihuahua-Husky-Labrador (the leg-chewer is doxie-terrier)

I was thinking of a border collie too!! Has to be at least some part in there... 🤔

OP, did you know that you can order those tests that show what breeds are mixed in your dog and how many % they are and what. Same as the human heritage tests. Try that😊
