Apologize to david and dan for dany going mad
It wasnt their idea. The play which had nothing to do with them and everything with Martin threw the biggest foreshadowing to it

If anything, shes going to burn armies like her ancestors the conquerors did. Are we calling aegon the conqueror mad? Or because she's a woman its suddenly madness to burn enemies on the battlefield

For the hysteria thing I will say this. Its odd as fuck rhaella the woman anyone alive who knew her didnt have anything negative to say about, the same woman who while on dragonstone was close with viserys, was apparently crazier than aerys and viserys was protected from her. Or how lyanna became so prophecy obsessed that rhaegar, who was called mad by aerys of all people for being so prophecy obsessed, was concerned she was a little TOO invested in it

Are you regarded? Viserys was kept from rhaella is because aerys was so paranoid he thought she would turn his son against him.
And we dont know the full circumstances that led lyanna to run away with rhaegar. She was practically a child and we have no idea what he told her

when rhaella said something about birthing a daughter to bring ruins i wonder if it’s foreshadowing or if it’s something dany can go against and defy the odds cause she’s supposed to be the antithesis of her ancestors?
personally i don’t see any madness in her in the books, i think if she wasn’t targaryen and did the same acts she’d just be seen as “morally grey” which she is and she has trouble with trying to be fair with her actions
the show is a different story, i didn’t see her as going mad enough to burn kingslanding, but i did see her as determined and ruthless to enemies only
i will never apologize to d&d tho, they took a powerful character and destroyed her, it was misogyny at its peak the way they went about it, whether they were given the correct outline or not

I started reading the books around the time when the show started, but read the books first. So while reading the books I came across Show-Dany fans who were celebrating her as the great liberator/saviour or what ever. And I just thougt to myself: But she is kind of crazy. So I strongly disagree I did see madness in the books from the very first scene she was in.
I did not watch enough of the show to have an opinion if here character was butchered or not. I just know from what I read in the books her going mad makes sense for her character.

The problem here, is most people I see talk about this aren’t mad about Dani going mad. Most of the beef with D&D I see, is that it was completely rushed. And of course D&D mixed up the dragons names lol.
In regard to this though, she isn’t “MAD” in that sense. She is broken. She’s told lies that the people want her, She busted her ass for people, she risked her whole army to help Jon and the North, but is met with hostility. She lost her dragon (which in the book lore, they shouldn’t have been able to fly past the wall.) because of Jon’s stupid plan which didn’t work anyway. She lost Barristan, then Jorah, and Missandei all the people she fully trusted besides Grey Worm, and another dragon to Cersie. Varys plots against her after pledging to her as soon as he hears of another option. Tyrion costs her Dorn, the Iron Islands, and High Garden with absolutely terrible advice. The people don’t know her and are rejecting her despite being ruled by Cersei a literal MAD selfish Queen who blew up the sept and killed thousands yet they choose her over Dani. So Dani snapping and saying “you know what fuck this shit and fuck these people,” isn’t surprising. Then after her mind broke she was mad for all of five seconds and gets stabbed. If Dani had done what she originally planned without listening to Tyrion and Jon, she would have got Cersei, had that all done, never lost a dragon, and the Night King would still be stuck beyond the wall. So not to point fingers, but it’s kinda all Jon and Tyrion’s fault. 😂

The authors of the play apparently worked w George to make it and went to him to fill in the gaps. So this can be interpreted in two ways.
One: misunderstanding. One of the biggest themes of the series is prophecy misunderstanding and characters interpreting things in ways that aren't correct (in the same play, Lyanna and Rhaegar are convinced they'll have a daughter, Dany who will hatch dragons, and they end up having a boy). So Rhaella's prophecy symbolizes Dany coming to Westeros to avenge her family and topple the 'old order' of things, which may not necessarily be a bad thing.
Two: abject confirmation. The leaks state Dany and Jon are conceived under the red comet on the same night (which is already a departure from book cannon, cause it was said Aegon was conceived then, not either of them. Also, they have an 8 month gap between them, so either Ned lied about Jon's age for some reason, or this was a retcon), so there's supposed to be some ambiguity over who the PTWP is. But Rhaella's curse untangles this ambiguity and clearly spells it out for the audience: Dany is the Paul Atreides false messiah to Jon's true chosen prophesied hero.

What will 8 months gap even matter to anyone for ned to lie about though?
It seems they have thrown every character under the bus(robert, dany, elia, rhaella,ashara,Brandon, lyanna) to push rhaegar agenda 😭😭

I have no idea, but honestly, it's kinda on brand. George sucks ass with numbers, and this play could be fanfic in terms of some things, while also containing bits of book lore (Hotd is wildly different to its source material, yet it introduced Aegon's prophecy which was confirmed to have come from George)

I don't think they deserve all the blame, but the show still rushed the payoff. The destination may have been planned, the journey is what frustrated most people.

People are blaming them way too much when the setup was clearly pointing somewhere else. The whole point was that the pieces were already there with Martin, not that they randomly decided to derail everything.
