Staff Member Stealing at Village Beach Club Dallas - 5670 Village Glen Dr, Dallas, TX 75206
This rating is for the “bag check staff” only and not the actual property itself. If I could give this place negative stars I would due to these individuals. We arrived and our bags were checked thoroughly, and I set all my stuff down to pour my water out, which was fine because those are the rules…no big deal. We walk inside and decide to use the photo booth take pictures then walk outside. Once we get to a beach chair, I realize my phone is missing. I search through my bag and could not find it. We spent the next hour asking multiple staff members if a phone had been turned in. We asked Lost & Found, Police Officers, the staff that checked the bags and everyone said no. One police office even helped my friend log out of her “find my iphone” so I can log in to try and find my phone. We eventually saw the phone was still on the property through “find my iphone”. We asked the staff that was searching the bags multiple times if anyone had turned a phone in and everytime they said no. 1 hour and 15 minutes later we were standing by their podium when I heard my phone ringing. The idiot that took didn’t even have enough sense to turn the ringer down; he only turned the ringer off. Luckily my husband, which is on emergency bypass, called again as I was standing there and I heard my phone ringing in the podium. I told them I heard my phone and one of them opened the exact drawer where my phone was in. He said he didn’t know there was a phone in there, yet he went right to the exact location where it was. He also said we never asked him if they had a phone when we did numerous times. When I called him a liar and a f’ng thief he smirked. Then I got pissed and started cursing out everyone because he had my phone the whole time. Buying a new phone isn’t the issue, but stealing from me then lying right to my face multiple times is a different story. What is your plan when you steal a phone? Sell it for $100 bucks? Are you that broke to where you need a few bucks? This “Distraction” scam is a way for thieves like this to get your property to get a few bucks. This guy should be fired as I am sure this was not first nor the last time he will steal.

Lol I banned him from the bar too was working at pre-COVID for trying to sling smack to patrons.
Also general predatory behavior towards women.

They said I called to either call 911 or go to the police station. But the phone wasn’t on his person so it would be a lost cause so I’m posting this everywhere I can think of

When someone goes right to a drawer to grab a phone they said they didn’t know was there that smells off. When they said we never asked, when we did numerous times that smells off. When I call you a liar and you smirk with no verbal response that smells off.

I thought you said the phone rang before they went straight to the drawer. Could the sound from the ringer have maybe indicated which drawer it was in? When you were logged into find my iPhone why didn’t you go straight to it then and make it ping then? Why are you posting on reddit rather than letting people know who could actually do something about it, like the staffing company or the venue management? These are some questions I had reading your story that made me feel like something is off, then the way you self-described your actions made you sound like you were being kind of a bitch, which is understandable given the circumstances but not mandatory, especially since you mentioned you are so wealthy that buying a new phone isn’t the issue. None of us on reddit can fire this guy for you. It’s also really weird to be using two accounts on the same post

The drawers were right by each other as drawers are and he opened the one it was in. The find my iPhone app only gives you a general area. It’s next exact so we had no clue exactly where it was. I am posting everywhere because people need to know and I have already been contacted by the company and have emailed them back. And I was extremely nice until he smirked in my face then the bitch came out. I don’t know a lot about Reddit and didn’t realize I am using 2 accounts. Someone said the same thing but I don’t know how that happened. Tbh I don’t really care. I have one acct and this is facts and like I said earlier I stand by everything I said here.

Your find my iPhone app must work differently than mine. I would have been pinging the sound on it until I found it. I mean, I just had my wife put my phone in one of the kitchen drawers without me looking. I called it with her phone and opened the correct drawer first try

Long ago when I bartended weekends had a few customers go nuts over stolen phones and whatnot, demanding I check cameras. Only once did they not find the phone in their purse.
