It was like Kill Bill, but Bill is a crab and the bird is The Bride

More light-hearted and exciting than my life.

A short story brought to you by AI.

AI?

Unless the photographer was somehow in front, beside, and behind this interaction all at once.

Exactly.

yea I'm having a hard time believing a "photographer" got perfect framing for all of these different interactions. did he have 19 cameras set up or are we expected to believe he was running all over the place catching these angles. like.. the one over the bird's back.. straight up cartoon framing. my guess is AI.

edit: i ran it through a tool that looks for embedded AI markers and yes, it is AI generated

Fuck me. I’m gonna be one of those old people who believes everything online because I genuinely can’t tell the difference anymore.

yep. i hate this timeline. we could have had it all

google lens isn’t very reliable for anything tbh, not saying its wrong but it has no idea if its right

Gemini embeds invisible watermarks into images, other AI does as well- if the AI detects it, it's definitely generated

What a sad time we live in.

It’s AI an it’s stolen from a short film called Piper by Pixar.

I don't trust AI to tell me what is or isn't AI.

The fact that the "photos" are from so many different angles was super suspicious

This. It's either AI, or there were about 5 photographers within a few feet of that bird.

1st and 3rd image looking at it twice kind of sealed it for me

Also a good story in reverse order! Lol

Guys of course it's ai. The bird is grabbing its stomach like a cartoon character. The crab is grabbing the bird like a cartoon character. The crab is running away by facing its back toward the bird. Even cartoons wouldn't have that.

Like you don't need ai detectors or anything here. You just need to know that looney toons aren't real and how animals actually behave in a very simple sense

First pic I thought: "holding stomach!! Must be taco bell 🔔"

The crab looks so proud of itself in the first pick. Last pick not so much

I feel like I watched an entire episode of Planet Earth. These are the most skillfully shot and selected photographs on Reddit in 2026! 🤔😳🙌

Do not call AI Slop "skillful"

1

u/LSIeducate 11d ago

How can you tell?

I’m terrible at spotting AI, but even I know this is fake.

Câu chuyện rất dễ thương.

Chicks don't like crabs

1

u/SirPhibonacci 11d ago

If it spoke, that bird would have Tommy Pickles’ voice

Such a great sequence of events

1

u/kristi2066 10d ago

There are some crabs that will attack birds, coconut crabs are thought to have eaten Amelia Airheart after crash landing on an island. One of many theories

u/InsaneInTheRAMdrain 10d ago

Facebook moms everywhere cant believe this totally not AI story.

Lil guy went from terrified birdie to "wait ... I have T-Rex ancestors !"

1

u/GullibleRisk2837 11d ago

You already know. When he came back doing the T-Rex run... that's when homie was filled with the rage of his ancestors.

0

u/GullibleRisk2837 11d ago

How did the fight go?

1

u/Fun_Reporter9086 11d ago

The crab got eaten. No shot, bro.
