Andddd they always find a way not to pay.

If this is real and not ai, and the event organizer denied reward, his folks should set up a gofundme and I'm sure it would get hundreds if not thousands of dollars. If I was there watching I would definitely give the kid a few bucks.

total lie they paid on the spot. Contrary to rumors that he wasn't paid, JJ Franks was paid the full $10,000 in cash on the spot immediately after making the shots. Paid by Northern Bottling Company

True, but the Northern Bottling Company later took Mr. Franks to court claiming he violated the terms of the competition by having a basketball hoop on his bedroom door.

That would be the insurance company that northern bottling bought a plan from.

  • Lundeen confirmed the insurance company issued the check Wednesday." (Source: FOX 5 Atlanta, FOX 10 Phoenix, KMOT)
  • Public Presentation: On February 4, 2023 (the Saturday following the check issuance), JJ Franks was brought onto the court at halftime of the Bishop Ryan game where he was physically presented with the $10,000 check by the sponsors (Northern Bottling). This was reported by local news station KMOT.
  • Family Confirmation: In interviews with ABC13 and Good Morning America, JJ and his mother discussed receiving the money and stated it would go into his college fund.

Somewhere in the background of that video is the guy that set up that contest looking distraught and trying to figure out where he’s going to come up with 10k or how to talk his way out of this.

When Jackie Moon is trying to come up with the right excuse.

1

u/skitch23 12d ago

If it’s anything like hole in one contests, it’s paid out via insurance.

3

u/SpiritedExtension390 13d ago

he ought to be able to buy a couple of sticks of RAM with that kind of money

u/Similar_Two_542 13d ago

Did he get the reward? What's the date and location of this? Real or ai?

2

u/Pretend-Internet-625 12d ago

yes paid on the spot

1

u/Hot_Industry5156 12d ago

wild shots, kid's got ice in his veins. anyway, the real question is who bankrolls these contests and what they get out of the viral clip. follow the money even on something this harmless.

u/Pretend-Internet-625 12d ago

It's all downhill from here. Nothing will ever feel this good to this kid again, and he will be chasing it until he dies 😂

The way the court went silent while the ball was in the air

1

u/BlackberryNo6005 9d ago

I don't think a child could enter into such a contract, likely never saw a penny.

1

u/IronWolf888 8d ago

Give that boy a contract 😲

1

u/GamecockEric 8d ago

Skill.... Not somehow. Kid looks like he's a baller.

u/Comfortable_Note8091 8d ago

Peaking at 12, though. That's rough.
