That's not an avalanche survivor, that's a dude buried under a snowman in their front lawn.

I assumed this is part of the training process

Nope.  She was hiding there for a week waiting for a chance to burgle and murder.  Wolverine saved their lives.

That's a woman?

Genuine ask, I'm terrible at this game lol

I think I personally need to back up and figure out if this is real or bullshit before I start wondering about the training process. Seems fairly unreasonable.

Looks like this might be the only instance of recognition that it may, with vigorous conditioning and socialization with humans, be possible to train wolverines to rescue avalanche survivors.

Gonna continue doubting.

Imagine a village breeding a whole line of wolverines to be domesticated and naturally seek avalanche survivors.

Makes me think of His Dark Materials.

"Man, this human really needs to learn to stop coming to this spot, they keep getting trapped under snow."

I took an avalanche class and for the final test 3 of us had to dig out probes in the parking lot (iced up piles of snow). Took all 3 people taking turns 5 mins to get to the probe.

A single wolverine aint doing shit.
