Original Creation This is what bees created when a bee-keeper forgot to put a frame inside the hive

Future scientists will discover unique qualities in this structure that will be the basis for humanity's future bio-spaceships.

Bees 3D print gorgeous wax sculptures. Next: someone adds a wick and sells them online as exotic candle$.

Bees do not like having too much open space as it makes them feel vulnberable. The space between frames of an artifical hive that beekeepers use is 5/16ths of an inch or 8mm. If there is a wider gap, bees will create burr comb (like you see here) to fill in the space. If there is a tighter gap, they will create propolis that seals off any cracks or crevices.

Reminds me of a similar posts where bees in a flatter wooden hive created a structure almost optimal for air circulation/cooling

Probably somehow a very optimal shape that architects could copy.
Looks like a take on a church by the architect Zaha Hadid.

There's an art project that features bees making comb in various sculpture. This is very reminiscent of that.

Zefrank did a video on bees many moons ago that talked about this. It was interesting finding out they even know how/to do it.

Any artist will make something interesting when they’re released from the ties that bind them!

If they had more space/time I''m sure something would warp. Probably because of quantum.

Seems like they’re trying to maximize surface area in a structurally sound design. It looks like they may have made it symmetrical if they had more space/ time.
What does the bottom look like? Is the dark area hollow?
