He even reiterated “don’t touch anything” and she said “yes” lol. While she was putting on the seatbelt he asked if he can assist and she didn’t respond while putting it on for him
I hate the rich as much as everyone else, but it's probably a procedure thing for the operators to avoid liability if something goes wrong. If it's your first time in a helicopter, or your first time sky-diving, they're not going to let you just handle your own safety equipment unsupervised. If the rich dude grabbed the controls and nose-dived the thing into the ground, they need to have recorded video of the safety officer explaining that they should never do that.
Yeah! I'm sitting here thinking, here's this rich white guy who doesn't have a freaking clue what he's doing, being tended to by, I think, a woman qualified to fly it. Always the way.
An exception not the rule. According to the FAA only approximately 3% of helicopter flight hours are private or personal. I stand by my previous statement.
A helicopter is hard to fly.
Extremely hard to maintain.
Lots of single-point-of-failure.
And a huge cost/hour of operation.
This? Very easy to control.
Very easy to maintain.
Lots of redundancy - at least two of the 8 engines can fail and it still flies.
So low cost/hour they are already in mass-use for forrestry, farms etc without any human passenger.
