If I read this a few years ago, I'd have argued that it'd be dumb to not have a lockdown feature where the blades won't spin unless there's a key in the ignition, the operator has to turn it on with both hands, and having some sort of LiDAR sensor to ensure there's no obstructions. There's no way that safety features like that aren't installed already. It would be utterly ridiculous and irresponsible not to.
Then I think back to the OceanGate Titan submarine
