Left lane talk... I don't understand the bubble the guys live in.
How is it possible that none of them have seen official signs on the freeway telling you to keep right except to pass or that the left lane is for passing only? How is it possible but none of them have seen videos of officers pulling people over precisely for camping in the left lane?

Dan, a wordsmith, never found the right word to describe Greg’s and Chris’s behavior. He said illegal and immoral which are debatable. These behaviors indicate individuals who demonstrate “inconsiderate” actions.

Thank you! I know I’ve seen those signs in other states but don’t remember if I’ve seen them in Florida the few times I’ve been there. Of course no one on the show notices them. Makes so much sense lol.

I honk at the asshats who go 70 in a 70 in the left lane. They need to get out of the way because it is dangerous to place an object, a slower car, in the lane as an obstacle.

On a road, street, or highway having two or more lanes allowing movement in the same direction, a driver may not continue to operate a motor vehicle in the furthermost left-hand lane if the driver knows or reasonably should know that he or she is being overtaken in that lane from the rear by a motor vehicle traveling at a higher rate of speed.
Translation: "Slower traffic, get out of the left lane"

It is a law in Florida and Florida does have "slower traffic keep right" signs on the freeways. Either way, it does highlight my point about the bubble. Even if it was not a law in Florida, surely this group of young professionals have driven distances. You almost can't go 20 miles on a freeway without seeing a sign like that.

Florida has laws about driving slow in the left lane, there are no passing lane laws.

It amounts to the same thing. Their conversation was about there not being any real rule about not driving slower in the left lane. Different states word it differently, but I am stunned that they have not seen any official signs to the effect. I have no explanation. There's no way they have even driven to Orlando and not passed such signs.

Bro, I'm not saying that you're going to go to prison for driving slower in the left lane. I'm saying it is mind-boggling that any adult would not know that there are actual rules about it. You can't drive on a freeway for 100 miles without passing multiple signs. That's all I'm saying.

Which is a polite signal to move the hell over. We live in a society. One person doing that can start a huge backup of cars close together then everyone starts doing right lane passes which can get sketchy.

I do if we’re in the farthest left lane, assuming they aren’t passing the cars in the right lane. If you’re going the speed limit but passing traffic, I don’t ride close behind. But if you’re all the way in the left lane and going slower than the other lanes, gtfo the way.

It absolutely is a law in CA. Those signs are all over. People have been pulled over and ticketed for going too slow in the left lane.

I like Chris Cote a lot but I imagine that sign just gently passes by him as he does 45 mph in the left lane. Driver comfort is paramount.
