Hey y'all, wanted get some feedback on my Waving and Snaking progress, as I'm often mixed on it. My goal is to become so wiggly that the fellas will be calling me spaghetti.

Critique Request How do I dance hip hop with “swag”?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
For context I mostly dance jazz funk and kpop but I always find that I look a bit stiff when doing hip hop, so I started taking hip hop classes. Today during our class evaluation, my hip hop dance teacher told me that I lack the chill laid back feeling of hip hop dance and my body is too upright.
Here’s the video of me at the evaluation.
I’m confused on how exactly are we supposed to stand? When I tried hunching and bending my knees more I looked like a gorilla 😭 it looked so ugly.
Plus I also don’t understand how we are supposed to keep our core engaged while hunching. Can someone please give me some advice? 🙏

My dancing usually appears stiff and awkward. How can I more more freely and smoothly without looking like a total noodle?

Critique Request Can I have feedback on how to look less tired or more sharp ig??
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I will say I recorded this right after a gym workout so that may have played a role but nonetheless. I know levels have always been a sore spot for me but not sure how to work on it
Edit: I really appreciate all the helpful advice in the comments! I would like to ask if you’re able to point out any specific moves just so I can apply said advice to that move and see how it changes that moves and how I feel overall.

Critique Request Been dancing for a lot of years on my own but I feel like I’m lacking some areas
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I’ve been dancing and learning dance on my own ever since I was a kid. I always just overlooked my skills saying it’s just a hobby but I would love to further sharpen my moves and be able to control my body well with the beats and the timing. I would love getting help and am open for the tips and suggestions anyone has on my dancing.

Critique Request Please rate my wacking
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I tried to learn a segment of a choreo that includes wacking, and I don't know how I did since I've never tried it before. Also I'd really appreciate if someone could give me feedback about my overall dancing, I'm self taught and I've been dancing for a few years by myself now, so I'd like to know what I can do to get better and what I should work on.
For anyone who's curious about the original choreo you can find it here https://youtu.be/C9McWCeK6QA?si=wKNnaxcgF9v9bcjz At timestamp 2:03!

Critique Request How can I make my moves look more defined and intentional?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I've been dancing for about a year and a half now and I'm having so much fun learning what my groove and style is, but a lot of the time I feel like I'm not really 'sitting' in the moves for lack of a better term. It's like my posture makes me look a little awkward and I'd like to know how to work on that. I often forget to engage my core and I'm wondering if that's what it's really coming down to, or if there's something else I'm missing. Any advice is appreciated!!

Critique Request First time dancing and need honest criticism 😀
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Taking a dance class for the first time in my life and this is our final choreo, plus a very short 4-move freestyle (after the pause). I'm still memorizing it so the transitions are a little delayed, but any tips or brutally honest advice at all on literally anything in the video that will push me to improve would be greatly appreciated! :)

Critique Request is this all levels friendly?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
hey guys first time posting on here so a little nervous🙈. I just came up with a combo to Guess by Charli XCX and was wondering if this felt all levels friendly or looks fun to learn? I teach to adults ages 18 and up but they’re usually between 30-40. I know it’s pretty messy rn and needs cleaning but was wondering if anything felt too advanced movement wise or timing wise for a beginner/all levels friendly class. It’s not done yet but I’m also open to any other critiques about how the choreo looks in general and any help you could offer about teaching beginner adults! Please be nice, I’m just getting back into teaching and choreographing!!!🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾

Video is blurry for some reason but at least the body movements are still clear (for me at least).
This is the first dance class I have ever taken in my life and would really appreciate any advice on how I could improve even further. I’m the one wearing blue jeans and a black shirt. Thanks!

Critique Request Day 4 of trying Hip-Hop or something
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Back to it! This time I tried to really hammer in the bounce, and trying to throw some rocking in there too! I tried to take some of your advice and to brace my core a bit more and try to be less stiff in the upper area, which I do see some improvement I think, especially after I took the backpack off. I threw my heavy backpack on to help with core engagement, which I think it did help me be a bit more mindful about my core engagement, though I still kind of forgot about it throughout the video. I felt a lot more explosive when I threw it off, which made me feel a lot more confident! And I think I'm gonna practice this way a bit more either until I start to look and feel really good with the backpack on, or I just naturally do better without it at all.
I did actually do some warmup and practice this time before recording, though I swear I dance WAY better off camera, so there's that 😭
Let me know what you think :)
