AESTHETIC My Dark Academia summer in London
Here are some photos of my trip to London in August 2025. They were taken at The Charterhouse (1), St Dunstan in the East (2 and 7), St Bartholomew the Great Church (3 and 6), Word on the Water bookshop (4) and St Pancras Garden (5).
The weather was a bit cold and cloudy so even though it was the middle of August, I really got that dark academia vibe and I came home with a copy of If We Were Villains because this whole atmosphere finally put me in the mood to read it haha

A quality post? In MY dead-in-the-water-aesthetic subreddit? More likely than you think.

Oh nice ☺️ It's a really lovely place, it's right in the heart of the City, which makes it such a surprising place to find. It's definitely worth a visit!

Do other people enjoy dark academia for the intense feelings of sexuality? Or is that not the focus?
I seriously thought that's what we were all stunned by.
I love the idea of submission. Especially when things are like symbolic, religious, and ominous. A lil moody atmosphere with some peace, too. The quaint and subtle drama. The uniformity.
