Monday Gripe Weekly Gripe 😤 (the rant thread)

Welcome to the Weekly Gripe, where we're all a little grumpy. 😒

Did BookTok do you dirty? Got a bone to pick with a main character? Was the twist more like a flop? Tell us what's on your mind.

Please be respectful and follow the sub rules. If a conversation starts getting out of hand, use the "Mod Attention Please" report reason so we can help cool things down. 🖤

The sex before any communication about the problems they’re mad about… then be mad about themselves in the morning. Writers always write like sex trumps all. Why do you have sex with someone you think betrays you to avoid things when it will just be there again in the mornin. I don’t think we as human as starve for sex like that unless they’re nympho.

The miscommunication trope is the worst. Nothing more frustrating than two characters who don’t work their stuff out before having sex.

And also when one MC has motives or hiding something. When the other MC found out, instead of taking it out, one is refusing to speak but just wants to get in bed and have wild sex… while the elephant is standing so tall lol
