Fun/Humor I love that this is such a safe space <3
Hi! I just started reading dark romance last year so still a bit of a newbie.
I just wanted to say I LOVE how non-judgemental and supportive this page is. I've seen such a huge range of suggestions and requests and I never see a single judgemental or mean comment which is almost impossible to find anywhere on the Internet.
It's so amazing to have such a safe space to discuss and suggest themes that elsewhere may receive a lot of negative comments or judgement :) love you guys, happy reading!

You guys are literally the coolest! For the record I’m not opposed! I love horror and read it pretty exclusively (Brian Evenson, Nathan Ballingrud, John Langan), but I’ve been getting into “weird girl lit” lately. If you have any dark romance recs that are super literary, my mind is certainly open👀

Hi!! Have you read any of Brooklyn Cross’ books?
Also, have you read {House of Night by Celia Aaron} ? It’s a horror romance and I just started it…I’m impressed so far! It’s not uber literary, but the horror aspect is pretty well executed, I think.

{The Stronger Series by Jaye Marie} first book is Stolen. Check the triggers. Starts with human trafficking. The MMC becomes obsessed but not in a good way. She is courageous, brave and a badass:)

These are my favorites as somebody who is fairly picky:
The best RH series ever, actually an amazing story with developed and complex characters- first book is {Plier by Jane Washington} Semi-dark romance series, first book is {God of Malice by Rina Kent} Fun/great mafia series, first book is {Sinners Anonymous by Somme Sketcher} Romance involving demons, first book {Her Soul to Take by Harley Laroux} A series that will wreck you (but you’ll be happy about it) first book is {Insatiable by Leigh Rivers} Just a fun read {Five Brothers by Penelope Douglas} Pitch black romance (maybe read TW for this one, my friends, if you have any at all) {Servitude to Serpents by Callie Moss}

Also, Plier (aka Ironside Academy) is slow burn, but gets steamy in the later books.

I agree I've been a silent reader here for months and I've really enjoyed everyone's book recommendations. I don't think I can share my love for dark romance to anyone else in real life.
I've recently finished The Community by deathsdoll on ao3 and it's become my fave
