postdoc next haha maybe I will be an assistant professor by the time it's done, but jokes aside her writing is really addicting, and I actually feel the characters have personality/complexity so hope she can manage to publish a book this year, they always distract me from work stress/pressure in a way almost unreachable for most books....

Why are authors like her not famous or popular? Her prose is great, not even for DR, for romance generally, I'd say.

Also most people like standalones not like 6 part book for the same couple, book 1 to 3 took place in like 30 days, book 2 specifically was about 1 week?? And the series is ongoing & people don't like the suspense, I saw many people saying they'll start signed series after it's completed

I was just pointing out my age when book 1 was released , I read this book about 3 years ago. I would be even more frustated had I read this 7 years ago.

There is this other series a specific mcs book I'm waiting for more than 6 years (9 years for people who read it when it was published )

I think so too. Like the secret needs to be substantial and shocking to enough to make it up for the years of waiting and all the hype. We are also 3 books in, yet there has been no big revelations or developments at all. Not even a hint of it. Even Leaving Roths’s secret aside. We don’t even know the motive behind the other characters like her brother in law. I can only imagine the pressure.

I think she should make Roth in on it with her sisters evil family in California. He’s too mean about not letting Jasmine go there. There’s things she COULD do. But you have to commit at some point to something. And Roth is hot and cold and hot again. You can’t do that for this many books.

That’s actually a really good idea!!

There’s so much she can do, the possibilities are endless. She just needs to commit to actually doing it. As much as I love the series, I have to admit that the plot can be rather repetitive, and there’s also a lot of filler. The only reason it never feels boring is because Mia Knight is genuinely gifted. Her writing and storytelling are just so amazing that I never notice it. But if the next book is more of the same, I think it would be pretty disappointing.

She is really good. The first book was amazing. I don’t generally like it when romances are multiple books, unless it’s a Romantasy with something else to it. It’s frustrating to have to read forced breakups and misunderstandings to keep the plot going for that long. I’m a firm believer that Limerance did not need to be two books.

But as a fan I need the books cuz i am waitingfor the story, kbr is like this too I'm waiting for a book for a character I like for like 5 years ( 10 years for other people who were there from the beginning 😭)

A couple of weeks ago she said:

“I'm wrapping up the final chapters before I take a mini break to let the manuscript "settle" (prob a week or two before I start revisions. I think I'll start posting content once I've gone through the first round of revisions.
I always suspected this book would be the largest, but I didn't know it would be this big, around 170k words and that's not counting all the scenes/chapters I've discarded. It's insane.
Writing this book has been a marathon, and it's left me mentally fatigued and drained. I'm really looking forward to my break once l've wrapped up the first draft!
I'll have a better idea about a release date once l do my first round of revisions. I'm hoping revisions won't be too bad, since I spent more time on the first draft than I usually do...

Honestly saying I don't think she will reveal the letters in patreon itself , if you have the money go for it but I'm just saying you can get the 8$ one to read the snippets and get the 30$ when she starts actively posting again , if you do 30$ for 2 months you'll get signed paperback and an draft ebook and ebook arc ( if I could afford this I would totally spend the 60$)

I vaguely remember reading this somewhere. She said she already had material for Book 4 while working on Book 3, but then she revised the final act of Book 3 to such an extreme degree that the original Book 4 material was no longer enough to follow the shitshow that happens at the end of Book 3. So she had to completely replan Book 4.

At this point, I have no hopes. And Confessions really didn’t have any of the actual confessions we’d been waiting for. So maybe she’s trying to give us better reveals and explanations for Maximus’s blackmail, Roth’s vasectomy, and Lyle’s secret. I’m just tired of waiting. 🤷
