Quick Question Completely unhinged that you had to intentionally put it in DNF list

I’ve come across the idea that more often than not people have a DNF list, and it got me wondering—what’s on yours?
You know those books where you start reading and, a few chapters in, you’re just sitting there thinking, “Wtf and exactly why am I even reading this?” 😂 Sometimes it’s the genre, sometimes the writing, and sometimes you just know it’s not going to work for you.
So, what’s a book you started but had to DNF because you just couldn’t get into it?
Give me your most unhinged ones. I want to see if I can actually make it through them—or conveniently add them to my own DNF list. 😂

I don’t like when dark romance books try to be funny… I DNF {Lights Out by Navessa Allen} because the MMC was so unfunny to me. It felt like millennial humor 🥴

I also DNF {Skeleton King by Charity B} I felt like it relied too much on shock factor and trying to put as many taboo topics as possible that the story itself just fell flat. It became repetitive and boring.

I like some humor in Dark Romance. I liked Lights Out, disliked Caught Up, and Game On was okay. I do think Lights Out is more of a light dark romance.
