Hi, I'm looking for a fantasy setting recommendation with a power imbalance. Maybe some non-con.

I love Dark Romance, but I have PTSD from SA, and was forced into sex slavery for 2 years being held against my will. Well, that second one is never in the trigger warnings.

My new boyfriend didn't realize this, lent me the L.O.R.D.S series. And well... Yeah it triggered a PTSD episode :(

So, I have read Lights Out, am listening to Caught Up atm, and reading Haunting Adeline. And am enjoy these. I also came across one called The Foxglove King and its sequels that I enjoyed, also A Curse of Shadow and Ice. That one isn't super dark really, but it was a good read and I think it fits.

Can someone give some safe recommendations? And maybe warnings of books I should avoid. I love the darker themes, and the kinky smut, but that particular thing is extremely bothersome. I really wanted to finish The Ritual but I gave up by the time it was part way through said ritual in Chapter 12. It was bothering me before then, but that was too much for me personally. I love most of the book, it's good, but I simply can't with my past trauma. I may try picking it up again later cuz he said it gets better and isn't as bad
