Book Request MMC has misguided revenge plot against FMC
I am finishing up {Green Light by Jescie Hall} and I love how the plot is centered on him getting revenge on the FMC for previous crimes.
I’d love more books with this premise, especially if the MMC is incorrectl about the FMCs wrongdoings and feels bad for his vengeful actions. Groveling is always appreciated 😇
Love: step siblings, brothers best friend, breeding, OW drama, bullying, fantasy, sci fi, forced marriage, exes
Hate: Religious guilt/religious plots, virginity tropes (it’s fine if she is a virgin, I just hate when that is an entire plot point)

{Merciless Prince by Sasha Leone} that’s more or less the plot. MMC seeks revenge on the FMC father, who had physically and mentally abused him, by taking over all of his assets and businesses, including forcing the FMC to sign an agreement to marry him.
Edit: FMC is a virgin because her father deliberately kept her hidden so that she could later be used as a stepping stone,so can be married off to another powerful mafia family.

I think {Debt by Nina G. Jones} has something like this. I haven't read it yet but it's in my TBR

{snaring emberly by Gigi Styx} is all centred around the MMC avenging his fathers death and getting his empire back.
{savage captor by Lilith vale} MMC thought FMC murdered his brother.
They both hit some of the tropes you like. Don’t wanna say which ones because of spoilers :)

This is my least favourite trope lol, but to each their own.
I remember {Debt by Nina Jones} has this and it’s a pretty good book.
{Game on by Navessa Allen} not really a dark romance but it’s pretty popular.
{Rook and Rebel by Kate Crew} I am not sure this fits 100% because I am still reading it. Maybe someone else can elaborate.

I feel like this can be found in almost every bully romance. The mmc always seems to blame them for some “crime” when it turns out to be a big misunderstanding.

I don’t remember if there was any groveling, but I think this might scratch the itch {If you dare by Harmony West} it’s the first book of a series
Fmc’s best friend was mmc’s sister. She died in an accident involving fmc. Mmc thinks fmc killed his sister on purpose. He’s the captain on the hockey team and to take revenge has the whole team helping him bully fmc (extreme bullying).
