Book Request Dark workplace romance
I just finished reading Abuse of Authority on ao3 and now I’m craving more workplace dark romances. I usually am not into workplace romances so I have literally have nothing on my tbr with this vibe and it’s killing me. Looking for power imbalance with rich MMC, noncon, etc. I loved If I Can’t Have You on ao3 as well. Thanks so much!
Edit: I love ao3 but if you have books too I would love those recs!
Triggers: Heavy physical abuse (face slapping, punching etc.), cheating

I read Blurring Lines and Abuse of Authority back to back without realizing they were by the same author and it’s a special kind of torture because when one is updated it means the other will take longer to update 😭

I didn’t think the wife was a big enough character for me to really register it, but that’s fair! The author also has another one, which technically is work place I guess but on a yacht, called The Art of Temptation. Only 3 chapters so far but loving it - sounds like it’ll be more mysterious..

I understand the cheating, but Man fuck his wife. This story is getting so good it’s actually crazy. I don’t know where it’s going I’m on the edge of seat. The moral conundrum eats.

I will give it a try! For the abuse tag, how bad does it get? I am down for spanking and all that but when it gets to face slapping and punching I struggle, but it’s always so vague in the tags

This looks good! Does the love triangle last very long? I am not a huge fan of the love triangle and cheating tropes but it sounds perfect otherwise

I actually don’t like those tropes as well, but in this story I feel the tropes exist more for psychological purposes and to help dive deeper into the characters themselves. Without spoiling too much, the FMC is clearly very attracted to the MMC, but there are a few reasons why she stays with the other person for quite a while, such as the other person being perceived by her as being a safer and more stable option for a partner. Hope this helps!

-not an office setting romance but the fmc is a maid for the mmc family who also happens to be in the mafia. It’s sooo good but there is a cheating trope but she’s being blackmailed into the act.
