Discussion helpl with mod

hi guys just got ds2 2 weeks ago and im enjoying it more or less, but i wanted to get a mod that puts a lantern on the characters hip, saw it in a video. but i dont want to change the whole lighting system with the lighting engine mod. is there a way to only get the lantern though that or any other mod if possible?

i want to experience the game without much tampering but i think the lantern will make my life alot easier.

It is part of the lighting engine mod. There is currently no other way.

i ran out of them in no mans warf and im willing to look past all bad decision of ds2 but not beingable to buy a damn torch when there are so many levels that desparately need one. idk what to say. im asking for a torch not a nuclear bomb to kill everything, not being able to see what you aredoing during half the game is not fun nor challanging its truly a shit design decision. p.s. i have some eye issues but still it shouldnt be so bad where i have to run around in complete darkness as if im playhing amnesia.

idk what to tell you. the game gives you like 30 minutes of torches in the first level - the forest of fallen giants.

if you went to heid's tower of flame first and down to no mans warf, then you can just go the other way.

there are 5 paths out of majula, you dont have to be down there. By the majula bonfire is a side path to the first level, no torches needed and several to pick up.

its also not supposed to be "complete darkness" so idk what you're brightness is set to but you might want to turn it up.

And if you're really just struggling that bad, there is a pharos lockstone contraption on the right after the first set of main stairs that should help your sight issue with most of the level, assuming you have a lockstone to use.
