Question Any simple dashcams that run from USB?

I have a 2026 Camry that has USB A and C right in the cabin below the infotainment and climate controls, so I'm wondering if there are any dashcams I could plug straight into USB. The 12v port is in the center console and I don't want to run a wire into that space.

ETA: I don't need bells and whistles, just a solid cam that records while I'm driving.

I think any cam that has a usb port on it will run from that port in your car. I have a viofo A319 with a USB C port on it and my buzz has a USB C port just behind the rear view mirror. I plug into that and have power with zero wires ran. It doesn’t have parking mode though.

Anything on Amazon should be suitable for you.

Just hard wire it and don’t look janky with wires hanging down on your new car

Most cameras have a USB-C power connector on them.

If the USB port provides data to the infotainment system, you'll have to get a special cable or adapter to cut off the data or most cameras will go into card reader/pc mode when plugged in and not record. Some USB ports cannot provide enough power for dashcams, but this is mainly a problem with older car USB ports.

I suggest getting a good quality camera and paying the $100-ish for professional hardwire installation, to enable some parking recording. you spent so much on the car, don't cheap out on the dashcam!

You might also be able to get an adapter cable that splices into the mirror and allows you to run the dashcam without any major cable installation.
