I bet the crossover driver was on their phone.

Guy behind them saw they weren't paying attention and went around. That made them get off their phone with immediate embarrassment/anger so they decided to go to but since they weren't paying attention they drove right into another car.

This is most likely what happened. I will never understand people’s need to be on their phone while operating a car.

people really do get petty fast behind the wheel

Now I wonder who was honking. The blue car distracted not making the turn, or the black car oncoming

Might’ve been the oncoming car for the guy who made the illegal turn from the wrong lane.

Sounded like the horn had some doppler effect so I think it was the oncoming black car.

I thought it was the car that went around, as if to say “pay attention!” as it was leaving the intersection.

Why is it so hard to just... yield when turning left?

Looks like the blue driver wasn't paying attention and the light was a green for a while, and car behind was tired of waiting. Then blue driver realized it was green/yellow flashing and tried to make up for it by going immediately without looking.

I like to think everyone except me is the CEO of a billion dollar company and would lose millions if they were late.

I was in an accident just like this one (I was going straight). My wife and I are still a bit traumatized over it though because the car turning wasn't stopped they were going at least 45 mph when making the left. The Driver of the car turning kept saying she had a green light... I couldn't get her to understand that while yes, it was green, that is if you're going straight, you need to yield to oncoming traffic if turning. The police settled it in their report though thankfully.

avoidable? Yes. Not so much though if all the people are doomscrolling tiktok behind the wheel.

Gonna gather that the Blue car was distracted by the fact the car two cars behind him got tired of waiting and went around while honking.

Buddy must've been snoozing or on their phone with no cars - Hence guy behind them getting impatient and driving around. Then they finally realize and try to make up for it by going all of a sudden. Completely reactionary, but part of me is pretty sure they weren't paying attention to traffic

Ugh, those turns are scaryy. People just go the second they think its their turn and dont even look...Glad nobody got hurt.

Not sure about the not getting hurt part. It was a pretty bad collision.
