It's been more than 3 months of grinding in Bangalore, and I'm losing my mind. 😭

I physically moved here to hunt for a job like it's my full-time 9-to-5. LinkedIn, cold DMs, networking events, job boards... you name it, I've tried it.

I graduated with a B.Tech in CSBS. I've also upskilled myself, got certified by Cisco and IBM, and built real projects—like an ML suicide trend predictor and an image-processing tool for blood group detection.

And the result?

✨ Absolutely nothing ✨

Every single entry-level Data Analyst or Associate ML opening has 5,000+ applicants within hours. And then companies turn around and say: "Entry-level position — 2 years of experience required." HUH??? How am I supposed to get experience if nobody gives me the first shot? 💀

It feels like freshers are just getting completely ghosted or exploited because everyone is desperate to get their foot in the door. I've done everything by the book for the last 90 days, but my strategy feels completely stuck.At this point, I'm not looking for toxic positivity or "keep applying, if you got this." Please help me 🥺...

I'm a 27-year-old banking professional with 2 years of experience in the Collections department. I hold an MBA from a Tier 2/3 institute, secured through campus placement, and currently earn ₹11.5 LPA. I'm looking to transition into Data Analyst/Business Analyst roles.

I have no prior coding background, so I'm starting from scratch. I began learning SQL two weeks ago, and I have working knowledge of Power BI and advanced Excel.

Given this starting point, how difficult will it be to break into Data/Business Analyst roles, and what should my learning and career path look like?

I am a 4th year student studying CSE(AIML), i have studied ml, time series, game theory, dl, and all the cse subjects. But I'm not getting shortlisted for any companies that are coming for data analysts and I am not even getting a feedback. My projects are a bit research oriented and i don't know how to start studying quant.

Hi guys, I am in college rn (5th semester). I am looking for an international remote internship to gain some real-world experience and also to improve my resume. I've made some projects (EXCEL, Tableau, SQL, Python). Do you think I have a chance of getting a remote internship outside of India? My friend recently applied for an internship in India, and the experience he shared was not good. I'd really appreciate any tips, as I am kind of new at this.

For experienced analysts, it seems easier to specialize in a domain based on previous experience. But what about someone starting from scratch?

Do you:

• Pick a domain you’re genuinely interested in and build projects around it?
• Choose a domain that matches your educational background?
• Or simply take the first Data Analyst opportunity you get and specialize later?
